“Nomoshkar! That is how we greet back home in Kolkata. It is a culturally diverse, highly populated city adorned with historical heritage in the eastern part of India. I have completed my education from schooling till my Master’s in my hometown. Being in Microbiology Honors for my bachelor’s and master’s from the University of Calcutta, a centenarian institution, I had enough exposure to the world of scientific research to have an everlasting impact on me. I was also fortunate to have an opportunity to work as a research fellow at the Indian Institute of Chemical Biology and at the Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research, both of which enhanced my skills and increased my urge to embark on a career in scientific research. I was determined to pursue my doctoral studies which ultimately brought me to the United States.”
Thanks,
Ananya
